B.E.A.M Team
(be everything and more)

This year Skibowl is putting together a free ride team to go and represent at local competitions and jams, the name of this team is the Skibowl B.E.A.M Team. The Skibowl Beam Team was created by myself, Greg Aldrich and an East Coast brother named Dougy Fresh in 1999, the main goal of the Beam Team was to make sure that we always keep snowboarding fresh and fun. The Skibowl Beam Team believes that every snow shredder should have fun being their main concern when out on the hill. It does not matter if you are a skier, snowboarder or any other type of snow slider we are equal opportunity shredders. The Skibowl B.E.A.M Team was hand picked to include riders who we feel represent Skibowl both in a professional way and who have proven themselves as great workers. Be Everything And More is what B.E.A.M stands for because we want all riders to know that you do not have to stick to one discipline or style, our sport is about personal expression and creativity so go out there and try new things. A list and profile of SkiBowl's B.E.A.M Team members will be up soon but until then look for the team at you local jams rocking matching Blue coats and making fun a priority for everybody around them.

PreJib on December 12th.

The third annual premature jibulation jam at skibowl went off great the music was pumping and the riders were throwing it down. Riders of all levels had a blast jibbing and sliding on the 100% hand built course over the weekend. All told about 40 riders participated in the jam even with the weather being less then perfect. Local Skibowl B.E.A.M Team riders Rob Love and Tyler Wike took home 1st and 2nd place by shredding every feature on the course.. Big thanks go out to Rome Snowboards for giving away a ton of gear and feeding all of the hungry shred heads perfectly grilled dogs. This comp was all about pre season fun and I believe that every contestant walked away that rainy day with a huge grin and a belly full of dogs. Snowboarding is about fun and this jam helped remind us that a rainy day with friends on the mountain beats any sunny day at work.

12/14

We are getting everything ready for the holidays coming up. We have been out working the last couple of days in our two parks. Here is what we have going on:

Govyville: 4 Fun Boxes, 3 Rail Boxes, 2 Metal Rails, 1 Corrugated Pipe, 1 Bonk Barrel

West Rope: (Hike only) 2 30' Rails

Every time you use Freestyle Terrain, make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and takeoff will directly affect your maneuver and landing.

Our park crew and free style team will be building features, putting on events and joining other events. This is where they will tell you all about it.

Keep watching here for more photos from our terrain parks. We will be adding photos taken from our own crew as well as those submitted through our photo contest. Send us your pics!.

We are all stoked about our new GoPro Helmet Cams. REI has sponsored our video pages and we are going to give you new videos every week. If you have videos put them in our video contest and you might find them here as well!
