The most important factor to our success is taking care of the guest first.
History
Mt Hood Skibowl has a long and storied history. The area held some of the earliest organized events on Mt. Hood, including a jumping event for the National Ski Association in 1929. Kirk Hanna purchased Skibowl out of bankruptcy in 1987 and has operated it longer than any other owner. Hanna revolutionized the area by developing an extensive summer Adventure Park, allowing for a year-round, stable workforce and hedging against mother nature. Skibowl prides itself in being a “family” resort. Our employees work together and help out other departments, keeping us flexible and innovative. With this business model and mindset, we all have a bright future!
Work
Working on the mountain is a fun, unique and memorable experience. Each employee plays a vital role in our daily operations. The success of you and your teammates depends on each employee being on time, working their scheduled shift, and taking the initiative to help out wherever needed. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Housing
There are private rentals in Government Camp & the Welches area. The Summit Apartments in Government Camp are a great option for those who meet income requirements. Ask our HR department for more information.
Grooming
Our employees are in constant contact with our guests. Your attitude and appearance reflect upon Skibowl, so we expect a high standard of personal appearance. Dreadlocks are not acceptable as a hairstyle and are not allowed. Attire must be kept clean and neat at all times. Management will evaluate the appearance of prospective employees.
