Alpine Slide and Mountain Bike Park Open Saturday!

Alpine Slide and Mountain Bike Park Open Saturday!

The Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl is opening June 1st for its 25th year of summer fun!  The hours of operation will be 11:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

The Northwest’s only ½ mile dual Alpine Slide, Scenic Sky Chair rides, 18 hole Disc Golf course and Mountain Bike Park are the attractions opening this weekend.  The Adventure Park at Skibowl east featuring the Bungee Tower, 800 foot long Zip Lines, the new Malibu Raceway and the rest of the attractions are targeted to open Saturday June 8th.

New to the Alpine Slide is a fleet of all four-wheel sleds that will ensure a great ride down the slide every time!  Enjoy flying down the half mile track of twists and turns through mountain meadows with banked turns, hairpin thrills and dips, all while dropping 350 feet in elevation to the finish.  You are in control the entire ride with a simple brake handle on the sled – fast or slow, the ride is up to you.

For Mountain Biking, the Gnar Gnar and Fire Hydrant trails, along with the easiest Freeride trail will be open for riding.  The upper trails are still closed due to snow.  Rental bikes and helmets are available onsite at the Hurricane shop.  The 18 hole Disc Golf course starts at the top of the Lower Sky Chair and winds down the mountain, ending in the base area.

Enjoy a fresh beverage and our famous nacho plate in the Beer Stube after a day of fun on the mountain.  The Starlight Cafe will also be open to serve you.

The Adventure Park will be open weekends until June 14th, when we open seven days a week until Labor Day, then weekends through September.  The forecast is for lots of sunshine this weekend, so plan your trip up now!
