Celebrating 25 Years! New in 2013

Celebrating 25 Years! New in 2013

It’s kickoff time for the 2013 summer season at Skibowl! We are ready for an incredible season in celebration of our 25th summer anniversary! Not only are we opening up early than any recent years, we are bringing a host of NEW attractions, features and improvements that will make your experience at the Mt. Hood Adventure Park more memorable than ever before!

As many of you may have heard, we have relocated the Malibu Raceway from its location in Beaverton to the Adventure Park at Skibowl East. The new track layout is astonishing and will no doubt be the premier racing location around Portland.  The track is approximately the same length as the Beaverton location but we have used a special slurry of pavement specific for the track, painted the infield and utilized the entire ‘old’ parking lot area for the new course.  Not to fear, we expanded the parking lot too so we weren’t left short on parking and access to the park.  We now have high powered Virage Indy Cars which are 7/10 scale of real Indy cars and feel just as fast.  We also have Grand Virage Indy Cars with the same power, just two-seats for a passenger.  New Sprint Cars were also acquired for the wheel to wheel side of the race track, plus a new Raceway Headquarters, timing tower and more.  You’ve got to come experience the new raceway facilities at Skibowl.

Over on the Alpine Slide, we have upgraded ALL sleds to a more advanced style to improve your experience even more on our most popular attraction.  Quicker acceleration and more control in the turns are main features of the new sleds, but as always, with the brakes at your fingertips, you control the adventure!

Back to Skibowl East, where if you weren’t able to experience the world’s first ever Cosmic Zip Lining this past winter, you’ll find our expanded double Zip Lines with three towers, two zips, and over 800 feet of soaring action over the park. Do it once and you’ll be sure to do it again!

If you’re not flying around the park in the air, on a Indy car or on any of the other attractions, you’ll soon find that the many dining options around the resort have expanded also.  With the new Outback Grill in the Skibowl West plaza and the newly remodeled Multorpor Lodge at Skibowl East. It’s easy to find a seat with a view as they nearly all have one, so pull up a chair, kick back and enjoy life on the mountain.

We can’t wait to see you around the park this summer… and if you aren’t here then maybe we’ll see you out on the lakes or trails with Mt. Hood Adventure now that they’ve expanded their fleet of stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and other gear.

Take Adventure to New Heights!
