GOVERNMENT CAMP — Hurricane Racing owner and former Olympian Petr Kakes will host NW Downhill Cup #4 at Mt. Hood Adventure Park Ski Bowl June 15-17.

Gravity-defying daredevils will invade Ski Bowl on Mt. Hood this weekend for the NW Downhill Cup #4 .

“This will be a tremendous physical event; Mt. Hood Adventure Park is thrilled to be a part of these races,” said Kirk Hanna, Mt. Hood Skibowl owner and operator. “The trails are challenging. The physical endurance it takes to complete these trails is beyond appreciated. It’s nice to see the dedication of these athletes come together to challenge their cycling abilities. This is an energizing event with some pretty spectacular trails. We do our best to provide a great place to escape and have some amazing adventures on this mountain.”

For all those cycling enthusiasts, it’s an exciting all downhill splendor. There will be three courses. PRO/CAT I: The top of Upper Bowl-Ridge Trail – Cannonball – High Rd – Arrow Trail – Wood Trail. CAT II: Top of Upper Bowl -Rock Garden -Upper Skyline -Cannonball -High Rd -Upper Gnar Gnar -Fire Hydrant -Wood Trail. CAT III: Top of Upper Bowl – Skyline – High Rd – Upper Gnar Gnar – Fire Hydrant to bottom.

This racing event will be an action-packed three days. It’s a great experience for cyclists from all over the world to come together for a great mountain challenge. There will be an awards/raffle ceremony following the last PRO rider in the finish area. Some of the spectacular sponsors in support of this event are Diamondback Bicycles, Northwest Riders, GoPro, and USA Cycling.

Campsites may be available as well as luxury accommodations at the nearby Collins Lake Resort.
