ODOT Project: Relocating the Mirror Lake Trailhead

When you come up to the Adventure Park, watch for construction signs along Highway 26. ODOT is busy with the Mirror Lake Trailhead Relocation Project, just west of Mt. Hood Skibowl. It will be complete by November. Skibowl will remain open throughout the project and the main West Parking Lot will be available for parking always. However, there may be times when the west entrance to the parking lot will be closed. In that case, follow the construction signs as you approach for specific directions into the lot. The Mirror Lake Trail is a popular recreational area in the Mt. Hood National Forest with its trailhead located on a sharp curve on the south side of US Highway 26. The project will provide new a parking area with a connection trail the existing Mirror Lake Trail. Highway and trail improvements to US 26 as also part of the project. You can find out more about the project here: The Mirror Lake Trail is 2.1 miles round-trip hike with a 700-foot elevation change. Mirror Lake’s classic glacial lake offers a view of Mt. Hood in the backdrop. This trail also allows hikers to ascend to the Tom Dick and Harry Ridge, which is a more challenging hike.
