Open for Mountain Biking and NW Cup #4
The Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl will open its lifts this weekend, July 15 and 16 to the public. The Scenic Sky Chairs, both lower and upper, will operate along with the opening of over 40 miles of lift-assisted downhill mountain biking trails, plus our interpretive hiking trails.
Mountain biking at Skibowl is for the novice to the experienced with over 40 miles of lift-assisted, adrenaline rushing downhill mountain biking trails. Choose the trails suitable to your experience level. Enjoy the Scenic Sky Chair ride up to the top of the lower bowl or continue up to the top of the upper bowl. Take in the majestic views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding Cascade mountains including the nearby volcanic peaks of Mt. Jefferson, Mount St. Helens and numerous others on a clear day.
The NW Cup #4 downhill mountain biking race will occur on Sunday July 17 with the race starting at 11am. The area will be closed to the public unless you are participating or watching the bike race. Training for the race will occur on Friday from 2pm - 6pm and on Saturday from 11am – 6pm. Visit the following links for more details regarding the NW Cup #4 mountain bike.
