Oregon Enduro Downhill Mountain Bike Race Series #5

Oregon Enduro Downhill Mountain Bike Race Series #5

The Oregon Enduro Series Finals will be held at Mt. Hood again this year.  This will be a two-day race taking place at the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl, Sandy Ridge and Timberline.  The fun starts this Friday, September 6th, with training, and continues on Saturday and Sunday.  Come watch racers reach dizzying speeds as they race down the mountain!

The first race day will begin with three stages at Sandy Ridge, followed by a stage at Skibowl and a stage from the glaciers of Mt. Hood down to Skibowl on day two.  The main EXPO area will be at Skibowl West.  Take a ride on the Alpine Slide or check out the Adventure Park while you watch the race.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three amateurs and cash will be awarded to the top five pros who complete all stages in each individual race.

Individual races will consist of three to seven timed stages over one or two days.  There will be non-timed transition stages that require riding to the next stage or taking a shuttle if provided.  The racer with the overall fastest combined timed stages will win the race.  Race runs are individually timed for each competitor with one minute interval starts.

Entry fees include: shuttles on race days, discounted practice shuttles, raffle ticket, post-race meal and free beer (21 and over only) and discounts/special deals from some of the event sponsors.

Expect an exciting and fun atmosphere in the EXPO area as Sombrio will be there with their awesome, rolling pump track that is fun for all ages and ability levels.

One more race is scheduled for this fall, the mountain bike downhill finals race, which will be held the weekend of September 21.  Check the event calendar for details and updates.
