Snow Delays Adventure Park Opening

Snow Delays Adventure Park Opening

Wow, what a difference a few days make!  Monday was a warm beautiful day on the mountain and we were ramping up for a great early season opening of the Adventure Park when bam, over six inches of snow drops out of the sky.  Due to this freak spring snow storm, we have to delay the opening of the Adventure Park, Malibu Raceway and the Mountain Bike Park.

Our new opening date, weather permitting, is June 1st.  Our schedule is to be open on weekends until June 15th.  At that time we will be open seven days a week through Labor Day, then open weekends through September.  Weekend hours until June 15th are 11:00am to 6:00pm.

If you are planning on being on the mountain this weekend, there are still lots of things to do.  Mt. Hood Adventure is open and can help you find the right trail to hike on, or they can rent you a paddle board to try out on one of the many alpine lakes nearby.  The Ratskeller Alpine Bar & Pizzeria is open and will be showing all your favorite sporting activities all weekend long.  The High Mountain Café can take care of all your breakfast and lunch needs.  Enjoy a hot latte while planning out your day with Chopper at Mt. Hood Adventure.  Check out the new Ratskeller Arcade on the second floor of the Ratskeller building.  It is full of fun games including the all-time favorite “Skee Ball”.  Earn tickets to redeem for all kinds of fun prizes.

Keep checking back for updates on our scheduled opening.  We are excited to start another fun summer here at Skibowl and we look forward to seeing you soon.
