Mountain downhill bike racers from throughout the region will compete over three days at the Oregon State Championships at Skibowl, the Northwest’s premier Mountain Bike Park.
Over one hundred racers in different categories are expected to compete.
Friday, from noon to 4 pm is a training day for all racers. The competition starts on Saturday from 9 am to noon for CAT II/III racers. PRO/CAT 1 Racers will go from 2 pm to 6pm.
Racers will take on practice run Sunday, between 9 am and 10am, followed by a racer meeting at 10:20 and the Race starting at 11 a.m.
Awards will follow at the end of each day.
Three course routes will be set, with more experienced riders finishing on the wood trails through the forest. The courses will be:

Arrow Trail-Wood Trail
CAT II Top of Upper Bowl-Rock Garden-Upper Skyline-Cannonball-High Road-Upper Gnar Gnar- Fire Hydrant-Wood Trail
CAT III Top of Upper Bowl-Skyline-High Road-Upper Gnar Gnar-Fire Hydrant to Bottom.
Petr Kakes, owner of Hurricane Racing and the Olympic Ski School at Skibowl, is the race director for this Oregon State Championships.
Advance registration on line is $49 and onsite, its $55.
