Tuesday Kicks off Ladies Night & Tele Tuesday

(Government Camp OR – January 7th, 2013) This Tuesday kicks off ladies night at Mt. Hood Skibowl. Ladies may purchase an Adult Night Lift Ticket for only $18.00, a savings of 43% off of normal prices!
In its seventh year, the popular Ladies Night discount is back and available every Tuesday for the rest of the season. Guys, this is your chance to meet some of the best women skiers and riders on the mountain. Lift tickets are good from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
Tele Tuesday Event Kicks Off at Mt. Hood Skibowl
January 8th is the first of two Tele Tuesday events at Mt. Hood Skibowl. The second event is scheduled for February 5th. The event includes demo Telemark and Alpine Touring gear from the Mountain Shop, Telemark lessons for beginning and intermediate level skiers provided by WyEast Nordic, an uphill/downhill race-also known as a rondo race and an Avalanche transceiver demo put on by Timberline Mountain Guides.
The equipment demo is from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, lessons and the race start at 7:00pm and the Avalanche transceiver demo is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. All activities are based out of the Outback Lodge where Terminal Gravity beer will be on tap with $3.00 pints. Proceeds from the beer sales will be donated to the Snowriders Foundation. Registration for all events is from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
Tele Tuesday is sponsored by the Mountain Shop of Portland and is a benefit for the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (NWAC). NWAC promotes safety by helping reduce the impacts of avalanches and adverse mountain weather on recreation, industry and transportation in Washington, and northern Oregon through data collection, mountain weather and avalanche forecasting and education.
